Firefox+Yubnub Omnisearch

No more Search Bar, no more Rubnub, now let Yubnub take over all searches.

Let Yubnub replace Google as the default search engine in the Address Bar:

  • Go to about:config.
  • Modify keyword.URL to http://yubnub.org/parser/parse?command=
  • If you use Camino, also enable keyword search by toggling keyword.enabled to true.

Website of the day: Userstyles.org

For all you Foxes and Flockers who love Greasemonkey Userscripts, I bring you Stylish and Userstyles. Userstyles are skins for websites. Some, like Dark Wikipedia, are different color schemes. Others, like Piratebay adblocked and tweaked, get rid of ads, widen important areas, and create minimalistic versions of websites like Google Reader, Reddit, and Digg.

Looking for Linux GUI Text Editors

I’m looking for:

  • Lightweight (none of this NetBeans crap)
  • Multiplatform
  • Graphical
  • Line numbers, syntax highlighting, indent/dedent
  • Browser-like navigation; Control+W closes document, Control+Tab goes to next tab
  • Remembering how the window is arranged for the next time I load it.

Anjuta is the newest one I’ve tried. I wish I could set more options, like always use GtkSourceview Editor, remember dock view session settings, and changing the number of recent files.

I’ve used Gedit, Geany, Kate, SciTE, DrPython, Bluefish, and Scribes. Some had bugs, most just didn’t navigate the way I like to. I guess my dream text editor would be XUL based.
